The mission of Connecticut Food Bank is to alleviate hunger.
We strive to do this by supplying food and grocery products and other resources to eligible programs throughout our service area and by promoting public awareness about the problem of hunger.
As the largest centralized source of emergency food in Connecticut, we serve 650 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and low-income child and adult day programs in six of Connecticut’s eight counties: Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, New London and Windham.
Since our incorporation in 1982 as the state’s first regional food bank, we have distributed more than 200 million pounds of food to people in need.
